Short biography

Patricia Alessandrini is currently a PhD candidate
in composition at Princeton University.  She holds
a BM in composition from Queens College, and did
graduate work there and at Columbia University,
studying with Thea Musgrave, Tristan Murail, and
Bruce Saylor.  She has also attended Franco
Donatoni's master classes at the Accademia Chigiana,
summer courses at Darmstadt, and the Bowdoin
Summer Music Festival.  She has been a member
of the Next Stage Company, a collective of composers,
playrights, choreographers, and other artists in Manhattan,
for five years.
