Randy Bauer is Assistant Professor of Music at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He teaches courses in composition, music theory, analysis, contemporary music, jazz history, and improvisation.
Previously he was a faculty member in the music theory department at Johns Hopkins University's Peabody Institute, and Visiting Assistant Professor at Skidmore College, where he taught music theory, composition, and jazz/American culture. He also has taught at Princeton University (in the Music department and in the Program in American Studies, Council of Humanities) and Rider University.
